What to Expect at Your Consultation
Your first visit is a relaxed, one-on-one meeting with Dr. Henderson. It is your chance to share what you would like to change, ask your questions, and learn what may be right for you.
- Initial consultation. Dr. Henderson reviews your medical history and performs an examination to help determine whether you may be a candidate. Together you discuss your goals and the procedure options that may fit them, and you leave with an initial surgical plan and a quote. If any tests, imaging, or clearance from your primary care doctor or a specialist are needed before surgery, we will let you know.
- Scheduling your surgery. If you decide to move forward, a scheduling fee reserves your surgical date and is applied toward your surgical balance. Please review our payment and cancellation policies for details.
- Preoperative appointment. About 2 to 4 weeks before surgery, you return for an in-depth visit of about an hour. We review your procedure and goals, the day of surgery and your anesthesia plan, before and after-care instructions, recovery and follow-up, procedure-specific risks, benefits, and alternatives, and your consent forms.
Some patients choose an additional consultation or preoperative visit to talk through staging, recovery planning, or any remaining questions. Our goal is for you to have the time, information, and support to make a confident decision about your care.
